Kate Hepburn
Registered Physiotherapist.
Kate is proud to offer physiotherapy services through REBOOT Physiotherapy. Her practise provides high-quality physiotherapy treatment for individuals with movement dysfunction primarily as the result of neurological disease or injury.
Having worked across the care continuum including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, private clinics and community-based practise, Kate has worked with clients at all stages of recovery and understands the challenges and triumphs at each stage. Kate has worked through a few injuries of her own, and through both her personal experience and clinical practise she believes that a practise rooted in a strong clinical skillset, delivered with compassion, allows clients to maximize their outcomes and feel capable and empowered.
Kate graduated from the University of British Columbia in Physiotherapy in 2005, and Human Kinetics, Exercise Science in 2001. She has been a lifelong learner and is extensively trained in the Bobath Concept. She has also been involved in teaching including serving as the primary instructor in the neurology unit for the master’s physiotherapy program at the University of British Columbia, assisting on Bobath courses, and providing clinical workshops for clinicians, physiotherapy assistants and personal support workers.
Kate feels that it’s important to also provide a space that is welcoming and conducive to recovery and has designed the clinical space at REBOOT with this in mind.
